The Rash..

One of the thing we can relate to with other Mito families is that just when you think you have it figured it out, something new pops up!

Abby developed an odd rash a couple weeks ago. Just a patch or two mind you, so I was not worried at all, Abby out of all of us has the most sensitive skin and rashes have been a common thing..

Thing is, that rash isn't going away. It is spreading.. each patch seems to start to settle, and then suddenly it will get bright and annoyed looking again..

It has moved up her legs to her torso. Not itchy really. We thought it was prickly heat from her electric blanket, but after a few days of keeping her skin cool and dry, it spread.

We have never seen this type of rash from food or exposure, but never say never with Abby.

I made the one critical mistake this week I swore I would not do, I googled her rash- Good Heavens! Google images is not for the faint of heart! After seeing what a "bad" rash looks like it did make me feel a bit better thinking what we are dealing with is very mild, unfortunately I started thinking that all those "bad" rashes probably started out mild like Abby's!!

We have tried every home remedy in our arsenal. She cannot have any type of steroid cream(steroid diabetes).

I expect I am going to have to take her to the Dr. at this point- which means they will tell us to head to a specialist- but just maybe it will be a rash our smart family Dr. has seen before. I was really surprised when reading about rashes that they can be symptoms to so many different diseases!

Today though is canning day. This should be tiring, interesting, challenging and at the end of the day, hopefully Tasty!

Here is a pic from last week of her odd rash-

Let me know if you have any idea what this mystery rash might be! :-)

Matt's pedi tends to do the same thing, refers almost all problems to one of our many specialist. I hope you get answers and it gets better.
I would love to see pics of your canning as you figure it out. Like I have mentioned it is something I would like to venture to as well.
