Never enough-

(Image from http://tcuppminiatures.blogspot.com/2010/02/vacuum-sealed-squash-and-vacuum-sealed.html)

Project elimination is chugging along. We feel pretty confident that we have hunted down any corn or preservative, we know because her reaction to it in even the most minute amount wrecks her- so if she hurts, I know I had better investigate what I have just fed her. Kind of a terrible way to figure out if you are allergic, but I tell you, they hide corn in EVERYTHING!

She still says that she feels so much better- she is not sleeping nearly as much, and the brain fog is gone.

Yesterday, her proteinuria spiked up- totally annoyed me! Not alarmed since we have seen some serious proteinuria off and on over the past year- but what could have caused it?

There seems to be a triangle of issues with Abby- Nutrition, stress(includes colds, allergies, emotional), and hormones.

So either the increased protein in her diet is a "stress" or a cold coming on.. not going to worry unless it lasts for more a few days- could be completely random.

We got an appointment for Abby with a Mast cell specialist- we will see.

Abby seems to do okay with peaches which we are thrilled about, each ingredient that we can add to her diet makes meeting her nutritional needs that much easier for her and I to manage, and helps give me ingredients to work with to make food more tasty! Weds evening I found Peaches at the Farmers Market at the Woodlands Mall(weds only, 3pm-7pm). She cannot eat them fresh because they give her oral allergy syndrome, but I found if I blanch, and peel then freeze she can eat them fine! So, yesterday I filled my freezer with vacuum sealed bags of peaches.

This weekend I am on the hunt for these products-

Abby is allergic to soy and we miss soy sauce! We are also always looking for any new product that will help her rotate her foods- Abby tends to react to anything she is repeatedly exposed to, so the more safe products I can throw in the better. I am curious how the amino's product tastes- if I can find it this weekend, I will find out! :-)
